Egg Noodles Sauteed With Roe Filled Round Cakes And Mixed Veggies & Shrimp

I start to use up my foodstuff in the freezer. Hoping to reset my refrigerator before my company (my family) arrives.

I haven't made a recipe article in quite a while, so I might as well give it a shot again. Here in the Northern Hemisphere, specifically in Cali, I expected it to be more of a heat wave around this time. Since it is October I thought it was going to be like last year. Temperature is changing though this year.

Are we having early cold months?? Because according to how I feel these days at night, it is a little bit chilly-I opened my window to feel the chill breeze at night. Closing it before I go to bed.

My food of choice nowadays

So, I am in a soupy trend for dishes I cook in-house. Savoring the warmth and heartiness of the food makes me all warm, relaxed, and cozy.

But this night I gave it another go for summery tasty dish cooking for myself.

In this fast-paced grocery run from last month, I managed to get frozen veggies mixed. Since I try to use up all my freezer foodstuffs. This is how I ended up with the frozen ingredients in this recipe.

I might have to add, that I freeze my egg noodles too from store-bought for the longevity of shelf life.

Yearning "Food Is Love"

I miss my parents and brother. If they were here they would have loved my newly made recipe that I whipped up for us to share at dinner time.

It would be interesting to note how my brother is surprised by the taste and image of the round cakes with filling inside nestled in the egg noodles. He hasn't seen that yet. Or maybe he does.

But I picture him beaming with his enthusiasm with the taste and flavorful round-filled cakes.

It was raining the other day at night. I guess, Sunday night? I was really anxious that it kept me asleep until late the next day because I couldn't sleep more or less 2-3 hours that night. So anxious.

I knew what made me anxious the sink full of dishes. So, I try to clean it up today. Monday-Maintenance cleaning for healthy living.

I already knew a balance was needed for me to achieve this course of doubting being anxious. So, I cleaned up!

Ingredients list for the recipe

How to make it:

  1. Pour 2 tbsp. oil in the pan. Put in minced garlic and cook for 2 minutes or until golden brown.

  2. Add in the onion. Cook for 3-4 minutes until translucent.

  3. Put in your mixed veggies, and roe-filled round cakes and cook until soft.

  4. Add the 1 tbsp. soy sauce, a dash of salt, pepper, and a dash of garlic powder just to taste and add color to the veggies because the roe cakes are already seasoned. Cook until soft.

  5. Add defrosted shrimp and cook until opaque in color.

  6. Add in the defrosted egg noodles. Add 1 cup water turn to medium-low heat and simmer for approximately 5-6 minutes.

The reason we add the roe-filled cakes with the veggies is to cook it evenly. No defrosting for it would be mushy and different in texture if it is thawed. That is how I just prefer it.

Plate it and garnish with spring onions. And if you want a little sweetness to it you can add spice sweet sauce in a bottle available at Asian markets. I added it to mine and it goes well together.
